Advanced/Intermediate Ceramics - 2nd Semester 12 week session
This course is, in part, a self-directed advanced studio course. It is designed to support students in their continued study of ceramics and pottery. This course is intended for students with experience who are looking for improvement and continued education in ceramics/pottery. The students will work alongside the instructor, as well as on their own to develop skills and techniques in the ceramic arts. Whether hand building or wheel throwing, the student will be given assistance and assignments based on their directed study of choice. Supplies and firing included. This course meets every two weeks for 2 hours, beginning January 25th from 10:00-12:00 noon (This start date may very depending on how weather effects the 1st semester. These 12 weeks session will be broken up in the following subjects:
- Weeks 1-3 - Pinch Pot and Coiling Technique
- Weeks 4-6 - Draping Technique
- Weeks 7-9 - Sculpturing
- Weeks 10-12 - Independent Choice
- Art Show
